Alan Dean is Sales Force Coach & Motivator at Shield M&A

 

Alan Dean is an internationally acclaimed motivator and trainer who has run his own international consultancy business for the past fifteen years. Alan specialises both in motivating existing sales forces and in identifying, training and supplying raw sales talent to a wide range of industries. His abilities are invariably reflected in increased productivity and improved bottom lines. Alan has acted as a relationship manager for Shield since 2006.

Alan draws on a wealth of management and trouble shooting experience. Whilst at Anglo Auto (part of the Julian Hodge Group) at the start of his career, he arranged the financing of the original British Racing School at Brands Hatch. He has since worked in all aspects of the motor industry, including management positions for leading Ford and Chrysler dealerships, directorships with Octav Botnar's Nissan dealerships, and subsequently his own. His consultancy has completed training contracts for large dealerships and manufacturers internationally (including Ford, Mercedes, Mitsubishi and Toyota); and is currently working with the Hendy Group.

 

Education & interests

Educated and raised in the South of England, Alan's passions include motor sport and travel, including a journey across Australia's Simpson Desert. He is a past Senior Vice President for AFC Bournemouth Football Club, and a past President of Rotary International, Cleveland, Australia. A committed Christian, Alan is married with two grown up sons; he holds dual British and Australian citizenship.
